We have begun work on our YouTube Channel. We are presently in the process of uploading our first set of videos, comprising our capture of Ali, the last remaining Alligator at the Garden of the Groves.
With the help of the great team at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, Ali will now be able to live out his years in a much more appropriate habitat.

We are still housed in our original building which was completed in 1973 and contained 16 indoor/outdoor dog kennels and a handful of cat cages. Over the years we have added outdoor dog pens and squeezed in more cat cages, but the building has outlived its usefulness and is far too cramped and dilapidated to adequately house the number of animals in need these days.
After years of planning and fundraising, Phase One of our new facility is finally becoming a reality. Construction commenced in earnest in August 2007 and the completion is scheduled for March 2008. The new Animal Welfare and Adoption Centre is located on 2.5 acres with plenty of room for future expansion.

The Humane Society of Grand Bahama is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, here at hs-gb.org. While still a little on the rough and ready side, our decision to go with one of the top content management tools, WordPress, will mean that we can get information out to the community quickly and painlessly.
